Who Are We?
Her Place of Healing, Inc. was begun to help women and children dealing with trauma. We are a Christian organization striving to help women and children heal during these times, and teach them about Christ Jesus and how to grow and live a better way of life. While the women and children are here, they will be doing Bible Studies, counseling, recovery groups on the topics they need at the time, as well as classes such as parenting, cooking/baking, self-defense, housekeeping, and more.
Her Place of Healing, Inc., while offering all of the above and more, is also simply offering a home to the women and children who come here. While they will be expected to attend the necessary studies and classes, much of their time will be spent just living and learning to live. When they are ready to move out, our goal is that they will have found Christ here, have grown in Him, and that they will be able to live their lives seeking His face in all that they do. We will assist them in finding a job and housing before they leave, as necessary. Follow-up care will also be provided.

What About the Children?
Many of the women coming into our home will be bringing children with them. There will be classes and groups specifically designed for the children. These will include Bible lessons, play-therapy, constructive play, and more. During the women's groups, child care will be provided to ensure the women's ability to be focused on the task at hand. The children will have people with them at all times, whether it be their mother or another staff member.
Each child is unique, therefore having specific needs that will have to be met. Our goal is to tailor-fit our programs to each child's needs in both an individual setting, and in a group. The growth of each child is a priority at Her Place of Healing.
